After a very nice day on the Richelieu river, yours truly has to admit he has lost in the saddest way: skunked ! The only catch was a small Rock Bass at the very end of the day ! No pike and no bass neither… The setup was right for the kayaks with a dedicated launch for us. However, we, kayakers, were clearly handicaped for everything else… Hoping next year the organization will separate boats and kayaks into two distinct classes and make the kayak class a CPR tournament. Also, from 10 AM, boat traffic was becoming numerous and impressive, even if most boaters were courteous and slowed down when they were seeing one of us kayakers.
Not being put off by this failure, some other tournaments sign in should be announced soon !
